Busy Time of Year
Jan. Feb and March are the three busiest month of the year for Timberhill Tennis Club. Players are gearing up for USA League tennis with teams holding organized practices and the high school kids are getting ready for the high school tennis season. Make sure you plan ahead and make a reservation since times are very tight during this part of the year. Remember that we have some drop-in programs that you do not have to make reservations to play. Men's night is Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:45-10:00pm. Women's morning is Saturday from 9:30am - 12:00pm and Mixed Doubles is Sunday afternoon from 4-6:30pm. These are also great programs to meet new people to play and broaden your Timberhill network of players.

USA League Tennis Season
Weekend afternoons will be much busier starting the middle of February until the last week of May. Timberhill has 8 teams of about 14 players each playing league tennis. Matches are scheduled for Saturdays or Sundays at 12pm, 1:30pm or 3pm so 5 courts might be tied up for those matches. The mornings and early evenings will still be available so you may have to change some of your weekend times accordingly.

Sunriver Adult Tennis Camp
Gary will be hosting his 25th annual Bend Tennis Camp this year at the beautiful Sunriver resort on May 29-June 1. This is an adult camp that is a great way to enjoy central Oregon as well as improving your tennis. We start camp Thursday late afternoon at 4pm and stay on court until 6:30pm and then have a BBQ around 7pm. Tennis continues Friday with a morning and afternoon session. Then we have a long Saturday session from 8:30-12pm and finish Sunday morning going from 8:30-12pm as well. We will be using the North Court in the Sunriver and the cost will be $199 per person which includes instruction, prizes, T-Shirts and a Thursday night BBQ. Applications are in the TTC clubhouse or give Gary a call at the club for more details.

2008 MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY
The 2008 TTC Membership Directory will be out and available to members by Jan. 7, 2008. Each membership receives one free directory. If you need to take another for the office or wherever extra copies will be $1. You can pick up the directories in the TTC clubhouse and just sign-up on the sheet if you take an extra.

I hope everyone's making it through the short days of winter this year by getting your fill of tennis. The club's been a busy place between the USTA adult league teams preparing for the upcoming season, the USTA junior teams playing their matches, the John & Phil's, the Adult/Junior Challenge…..the list goes on and on. While we swing into our busy season at Timberhill, I'll just remind everyone of a couple of things: First, please don't weed and throw out balls from the practice carts. The staff sorts through them occasionally and donates the balls to places where they can be reused. Also, remember our Adult-Junior mentor program? If any adults or juniors are interested in finding practice partners of a different age, call me and I can try to arrange it. This has often been a beneficial arrangement for everybody involved. Speaking of our junior program, year-end rankings for 2007 were released, and some of our juniors posted some good results:
