The focus of our open house is food, fun, friends and forehands. A healthy membership is vital to Timberhill Tennis Club. Our numbers are in a constant flux. Some TTC members are always coming and going. We have snowbirds who head to Arizona, California and New Zealand every winter. Unfortunately, people have injuries and health problems, which result in medical leaves.
Our annual open house is our biggest membership drive of the year. Invite your nonmember friends to an event during our fantastic free open house. Events will run from Sept. 27th to Oct. 5th. TTC board members will be hosting mixed doubles Sun. Sept. 28th, ladies night Mon. Sept. 28th, and men's nights Tues. Sept. 30th and Thurs. Oct. 2nd. Surprise the regulars by bringing a ringer and enjoy the snacks that will be provided. Don't forget the free clinic and croissants Sat. Sept. 27th and ladies playday and luncheon Wed. Oct. 1st. An important feature of our open house is the zero initiation fee for those who join that week. Remember also, the one-month of free dues for sponsoring a new member.
Last but not least, mark your calendars for another stupendous mixed doubles spaghetti feed with the first annual silent auction. The proceeds from this fundraising event will be used to upgrade TTC's bathrooms.
See you at the open house,
Gay Hall (co-president)
SIGN-IN ALL GUESTS AND BALL MACHINE USAGES
Timberhill uses the honor system to have all guests and ball machine usages.
Please sign-up guest with name and how many you may have and the ball machine
use on the sign up sheets in the clubhouse. We budget for guests and to replace
the ball machine periodically through the fees raised from the usage of the
ball machine. Thanks!
TIMBERHILL SILENT AUCTION (1ST ANNUAL)
Timberhill will be having its 1st annual silent auction to raise some funds
earmarked for locker room upgrades. We are looking for donations to auction
off. All donations are tax deductible since Timberhill is a non-profit organization
(401C3 status). If you have a vacation home you would like to auction off a
weekend, any services you might be interested in donating (for instance, dinner
for a ladies group), etc., please contact Gary about how we will be proceeding.
We are looking for about 15 major items to auction off. We will have the items
at the club for about two weeks before the culmination of the bids during our
Nov. 9 Spaghetti feed. You do not have to be here that night to win the auction,
but it couldn't hurt. Please contact Gary for any further information about
the auction. It should be a great time and a way to raise some funds for club
improvements. See you there!

Our members are our most important resource!
The instruction schedule at the club is in full swing for the fall-we have all levels of adult and junior programs happening right now. If you're not signed up, but are interested, please give us a call at the club and we'll steer you in the right direction. On the juniors' side of things, Friday fests have begun again-the next ones are October 24 and November 7. We'll need some parents to volunteer to host these as we get into the winter, so if you're available and interested, get in touch with Hunter.
Coming in November is our annual Spaghetti Feed Mixer-this is a fun event that will hold a special twist this year…stay tuned.
